We offer a free ten-week SAT prep class (in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago) taught by University of Chicago students.

The application for our Spring 2017 SAT course is now open! The application will close on Saturday, March 18th. A response can be expected by March 25th.

More information about the course is available beneath the form. Please contact our Director, Sophia Vojta, at sophiavojta@uchicago.edu with any questions or concerns.

Format of the class
Week 1 (Sunday, April 9th): Full-length diagnostic (practice) exam
Weeks 2-8 (subsequent Saturdays): Class sessions (strategy and content)
Week 9 (Sunday, June 4th): Full-length final (practice) exam

More details
Class meets from 10 AM - 1:30 PM each Sunday. Each of the subjects of the SAT is covered.

Each subject is taught by a different teacher. All teachers are University of Chicago undergraduate volunteers who have scored well on the exam and received training from experienced members of our program. Class size is approximately 20. Students are divided on the basis of their diagnostic score.

Cost
The class itself is completely free. We do, however, ask that students purchase a single textbook (made by the Kaplan test prep company) that is available in bookstores, libraries, and on Amazon. Practice tests and problems are taken from this book.

Once accepted into the course, if the cost of this book poses a problem for you and your family, we are happy to work with you to make other arrangements.
