Our Objective
Whatever It Takes (WIT) is an organization at the University of Chicago that was founded in the fall of 2011. We aim to level the playing field in test prep by offering free ACT and SAT test prep courses to high school students in the Chicago area. WIT classes are weekly and run for ten weeks (see the ACT and SAT pages for more information.) Our courses are taught by University of Chicago students with training in ACT and SAT test prep instruction, and it's our goal to make sure that every student gets incredible preparation for standardized testing with no financial hardship.
We accept applications from students at any school in the Chicago area - public and private, CPS and suburban. Here is a small portion of the schools from which we have accepted students:
- Dayspring Christian Academy
- DeLasalle Institute
- Francis W. Parker
- Gwendolyn Brooks High School
- Kenwood Academy
- Lindbolm Math and Science
- Morgan Park
- Nazareth Academy
- Simeon Career Academy
- TF South High School
- Walter Payton College Prep
